Long Beach Township Mayor Joe Mancini joined Congressman Jeff Van Drew and other federal and state officials last Thursday, Oct. 1, for a tour of the beaches in Holgate, which suffered severe erosion during the recent nor’easter. As the congressman saw firsthand during his visit, the storm left 20-foot-tall sand cliffs along the southernmost sections of Long Beach Island.
