Researchers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Engineer Research and Development Center have recently completed installing five monitoring platforms to measure waves, tides, currents and boat wake off the western shore of Mordecai Island, which is in the bay off Beach Haven. The purpose of this study is to obtain data in support of design criteria for the upcoming Mordecai Living Shoreline Breakwater project.
