The holiday season is a time for giving back, and a time for coming together with friends and neighbors. Whether you’re in need of a Thanksgiving meal or hoping to help out, there are some community dinners in Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor this month.

Calvary Baptist Church in Little Egg Harbor will host a community Thanksgiving dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes turkey and gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, pumpkin bread and dessert. The dinner is free and open to all. The church will also host a community brunch on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Calvary Baptist hosts free dinners every second Tuesday and lunches every first and third Tuesday of each month.

Each month, the Legacy Center at the Wildcat Shack hosts the Cats’ Cuisine Supper Club, a free dinner and cooking demonstration for those who need assistance or want to find budget-friendly meal ideas. The November Supper Club will be on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Pinelands Regional Junior High School at 6 p.m. Register on the Legacy Center’s Facebook page.

The dinner is free and open to the public; takeout is also available. To donate, drop off frozen turkeys by Nov. 14 and cooked turkeys by Nov. 21. Call the lodge at 609-296-1956 with any questions.
