As a recent retiree and 35-year property owner on Long Beach Island (the past seven years in Surf City), I was hoping to find meaningful endeavors (in addition to more family time, travel and golf) that would be impactful to the communities in which I reside. In the spring of 2023, I was fortunate to have met Jean Daniels, board member for the Surf City Taxpayer’s Association, after a Surf City Borough Council meeting and we discussed my getting involved with the SCTA.
