The Clean Ocean Action Beach Sweeps are certainly worthwhile. These semiannual events provide service opportunities, create awareness of beach pollution issues, collect important data about the types of litter and, of course, help clean up our beaches. Having participated in these cleanups for a number of years, it is always a rewarding feeling to be a part of such a large-scale event.
