This year’s Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off, slated for the first weekend of October, will bring together 12 popular restaurants to put their big-batch recipes for New England and Manhattan clam chowders to the test – the taste test, that is. Voters will sample to their tastebuds’ content.

TENT STAKES: The competition couldn’t be hotter as thousands rush the booths for samples to compare and contrast. In new hands now, the festival is continuously streamlined and improved.
Craft beer enthusiasts will gather with their glasses. Fun lovers will seek out the costume booths and other vendors. Families will find ways to make memories that last forever.
Tickets are on sale now for $35 apiece and can be purchased in advance at bhchowdercookoff.com.
