The Stafford Township Arts Center will host Brass Transit, a Chicago tribute band, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.
The band’s name was well picked. Among its eight musicians are trumpeter and band leader Tony Carlucci and trombonist Doug Gibson. Brass, of course, gave Chicago a distinctive sound. True, other bands in the late 1960s and ’70s had brass players – Blood, Sweat & Tears and Earth, Wind & Fire spring immediately to mind. Chicago, though, stood out.
