The annual Brant Beach Yacht Club Optimist Regatta was settled by tiebreaker criteria on July 28, and the home sailor captured the title.
After finishing sixth in the first of four races contested, Brant Beach’s James Chaytors snagged third in the second race, before swiping the top position during the final two races, setting up a tie between Chaytors and Barnegat Light Yacht Club’s Megan Soos, who had placed third, second, fourth and second during the Red Fleet set.
