Last Thursday, Oct. 9, Jack Casella was invited to a get-together at Nardi’s Tavern by good friends Deborah Whitcraft and her husband, Jim Vogel, captain and president, respectively, of the Beach Haven First Aid Squad.
But what longtime squad member Casella didn’t know was that the invitation was a ruse for him to appear at the meeting of the Long Beach Island Rotary Club in the upstairs meeting room.
