There were a lot of waveriders on Long Beach Island for the long Labor Day weekend. That meant tons of surfboards on the roofs of cars, teenagers hanging out at the surf shops, and entire surfing families waiting for fish tacos at Barry’s Do Me a Flavorin Beach Haven. Problem was, there wasn’t much surf.

But there was one good spot on LBI. In fact, it was the most consistent wave anywhere all summer long: the standing wave at the Flow House at Thundering Surf in Beach Haven.
