A unique piece of Jersey Shore history is currently on loan to the Museum of New Jersey Maritime History in Beach Haven from the Point Pleasant Historical Society. Most have read stories about the famous shipwrecks of the Barnegat graveyard of the Atlantic, but here is a chance to literally touch history.
On display is a cabinet that is almost 125 years old. While the design and workmanship are at best described as basic, it’s the materials used in its construction that bring history alive.
