To the Editor:
An article (“LBT Mandates Bulkhead Heights for New Constructions on Bay, Lagoon,” 10/28) and a subsequent township meeting on Nov. 1 have revealed that the LBT Building Department has recently promulgated Ordinance 21-27C, which stipulates that all township waterfront properties (lagoon and bay) raise their existing bulkhead heights to mitigate property flooding due to local storms.
First, it is important to understand the real purpose of the bulkhead.
