As siblings growing up in Barnegat Township, Nico and Allysia Adorno loved competing against each other, whether it was playing a board game or challenging one to a running race. They became particularly adept at the latter, as the two are standouts on the high school’s boys and girls track and field teams, respectively.

A sophomore, Nico won the 400 meter run atlast month’s Ocean County Championships with a time of 50.6 seconds. Heplaced first as a member of the 4×100 meter, 4×200 meter and4x400meter relays.

He also placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.1 seconds.
