To the Editor:
I took the headline advice Rick Mellerup provided in “See Bellarine’s ‘Dreamcoat’ This Weekend” (7/31). I saw the matinee on Aug. 3 and am still buoyed up by the experience only live theater offers.
Every aspect of this production checked every box a theatergoer could ask for: the singing, dancing, acting, costuming and settings the audience sees; the perfectly coordinated sound and light. A backstage the audience doesn’t see managed to guarantee that we suspend our disbelief.
