If you want to see a new musical, in a very raw form, visit Stockton University’s Experimental Theatre, a black box venue located beneath Stockton’s Performing Arts Center where performances take place in close proximity to the audience for an intimate experience, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 12, 13 and 14 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15.

That’s because the folks from the Stockton Theatre Project will perform a brand spanking new musical called “The Figuring.” Led by Alex Koceja and Michael Uselmann, students and staff developed the musical through the fall semester. Stockton says, “Witness the results of the excitement, challenges, and discoveries that brought this original musical to life as it moves from page to stage.”

Tickets are $15 for the general public and $12 for everybody else – seniors, members of the military, youth, alumni, faculty and staff, and Stockton students – except groups of 10 or more for $13.50 each. They may be purchased online at stockton.universitytickets.com.

A main stage act at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 features a musician who has been around awhile. The Steve Augeri Band is sure to rock out, considering Augeri was the lead singer of the band Journey from 1998 to 2006.

With his soaring vocals, gritty tenor and powerful stage presence Augeri will surely tear it up at his show.

Tickets range from $47 for the general public to $12 for Stockton students. Once again, they may be purchased at stockton.universitytickets.com.
