Blacksmith Stephen Nuttall believes modern society has become completely disconnected from how things – everything from our food to our homes and household essentials – are made. Forging both intricate works of art and everyday items, his craft is both an expression of creativity and a determined revival of a mostly forgotten practical skill.

“I think it’s important for our history in New Jersey, and our history as humans, to make sure we understand where things come from,” Nuttall said.
