To the Editor:

The feverish building expansion that is going on in Barnegat has upset many local residents. Many are concerned about the harm to the precious ecosystems of Barnegat Bay.

I can identify with the concerns of these residents. Unfortunately, most people value money more than environmental longevity. Keep in mind most of the developing is facilitated by private purchasers of large properties who are obviously not concerned about the local ecosystem.
