The third time was the charm for Beach Haven native Christa Steiner. She’s on the way to this September’s Miss America competition.

She had long been intrigued by the Miss America Organization. She was involved for a total of four years in New Jersey, first for two years in the Miss America’s Teen competition for 14- to 18-year-olds and then twice in the Miss New Jersey competition after being crowned Miss Atlantic Shore and Miss Coastal Shore for two years in a row.
