At its July 14 meeting, the Beach Haven Borough Council introduced an ordinance governing outdoor dining. While the borough already had such an ordinance on the books, a new one had to be drawn up to fall in line with outdoor dining legislation adopted by the state near the end of last year.
In signing the legislation, Gov. Phil Murphy made outdoor dining permissions permanent for restaurants and certain alcoholic beverage retailers and manufacturers.
