Barnegat High School track and field standout Nico Adorno is taking his talents to the University of Rhode Island, as the senior signed a letter of intent last week. Adorno said he plans to specialize in the 200 and 400 meter runs, two events he has excelled in since he debuted for the Bengals as a freshman. Other events he has run in high school include long jump, 55 and 100 meter dashes and 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 meter relays.
