Nicole Federovitch made Barnegat High School sports history last month when she became the first girls varsity lacrosse player to amass 200 career goals.
The senior midfielder achieved that when she scored the opening goal in a 12-11 win against Manchester Regional on April 15. Federovitch’s third goal of the contest was the game winner as she put one in the net with 2:47 left in overtime.
Federovitch was a big reason the Bengals won the Shore Conference B-South regular season title with an 11-1 mark. Overall, they finished 12-3.
“Nicole is the best player I’ve ever had,” said head coach Jessica Casamento Quackenbush.
