More than 500 pounds of nonperishable goods was collected by Barnegat VFW Post 10092 in its fall food donation campaign for Starve Poverty International, also located in Barnegat Township.

“Our goal was 300 pounds, but the goal was blown out of the water with a total of 561 pounds,” said post Cmdr. Leonard  Hemmerle. “Post leadership would like to thank everyone who took time to buy and drop off items. We look forward to next spring when we will run another food drive.”
