When the NJSIAA South Jersey Group II girls volleyball tournament was seeded, the power points rated Barnegat as the fifth-best team in the section. The defending sectional champions get it – the power points are what they are. But that doesn’t mean the Bengals buy into it.
“We believe we’re one of the better teams in the bracket,” said junior setter Tara Charland, who gave out nine assists and scored on a kill and a block during Barnegat’s 25-8, 25-7 rout of 12th-seeded Middle Township on Oct.
