On Sept. 30, the Barnegat Township Planning Board approved an Aldi Food Market, to be located at 10 Barnegat Blvd., behind the Walgreen’s on West Bay Avenue.
The 19,631-square-foot store will be located on a vacant 5.3-acre tract which approximately 20 years ago was cleared to make room for a proposed assisted living facility, but the plans never materialized and the site has remained undeveloped.
