A Barnegat Township resident who is donating an artificial turf playing field for the Junior Bengals football program he heads says he must start work on it by June to get it ready for practice sessions that begin August at the Lower Shore Road recreation area.
The rolled up surface, manufactured by Georgia-based Field Turf, has been sitting in the tennis courts at the sports and recreation area for several months.
