Even if it’s just two weeks into the football season, taking another team for granted can be a devastating mistake. Barnegat made sure not to overlook visiting Lakewood on Sept. 4, even when the opposing Piners walked onto the field with just 25 players.
“You have to treat every game seriously and give it 100%. You can’t take any opportunity for granted,” said senior quarterback Nick Malinowski, who tossed just one pass during a 34-0 rout in a game that was all but over by halftime.
