I know I’m opening myself up to ridicule with this admission, but I have been following the soap opera “General Hospital” off and on since I was a teenager. This happened by accident, which is convenient since the program is based in a hospital. I would walk home from high school every day, hoping to get there in time to see “Dark Shadows,” the very first and very last vampire soap opera.
