It was with surprise and sadness that I read the Feb. 3 article about the closing of the Sandbox Café’s older location in Ship Bottom. One of our family’s favorite “go to” places for breakfast, it has been on the LBI restaurant scene for a while. Coming so soon after Kubel’s Too closed just before last summer, two of our favorite restaurants will no longer be.
We’ve been coming to LBI every summer for close to 50 years, and there have been many changes in the profile of the Island.
