To the Editor:
On Friday, July 9, there was an emergency 911 call regarding a possible person in distress in the water off the beach at 76th Street in Harvey Cedars. Our house is oceanside on 76th Street, and we watched from our yard as the emergency call unfolded.
I am writing because of the incredible and extremely impressive response that was made by both volunteer and professional emergency responders. Within 10 minutes of the first emergency vehicle arriving on the scene, the entire street, from beach to Boulevard, was filled with emergency response vehicles.
