To the Editor:
On Sunday, Sept. 19, Sea Change Recovery Community Organization hosted the first annual Boomer Blast and GenX Jam surf contest in Holgate. This is a new contest for older surfers in their 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, with a side contest for the few younger surfers.
Thirty-six contestants and local sponsors helped to raise over $1,000 for this local community organization that serves individuals and families impacted by the substance use disorder epidemic.
