The state Department of Environmental Protection is making available $30 million in Natural Climate Solutions grant funding – sourced from proceeds obtained through participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative – for local governments and nonprofits to create, restore and enhance New Jersey’s coastal wetlands, forests and urban tree canopies. As of this week, grant applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for one calendar year.
Applications can be submitted via the DEP’s online portal at njdepsage.intelligrants.com.
