Road improvement work will continue in Surf City after the borough received a N.J. Department of Transportation grant this week, following the council awarding a $1.1 million American Rescue Plan drainage and flood improvement contract earlier this month.
Monmouth Dock Works will perform the work on North Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, 11th, 18th, 23rd and 24th streets. Buterick Bulkheading withdrew its bid from consideration prior to the Nov. 12 council meeting, where the contract was awarded.
