Toward the end of last season, knowing who was coming to the Southern Regional boys golf program this spring, Alex Henbest already seemed prepared to relinquish the No. 1 spot in the lineup.
“We have a better player than I am coming next year, and I’ll be very happy to let him have the No. 1 position,” Henbest said with a laugh. “He’s going to have an outstanding career, and I can’t wait to see how well he does next season as he leads this team.”
