It has been dubbed a seaside resort, shoreline attraction, popular coastal destination, tristate vacation point, weekend escape, seashore getaway, idyllic barrier island, beach lovers’ paradise, surf fishing Mecca, waveriding wonderland, and 18 Miles at Sea. An olden real estate ad even branded it “an island unto itself.”
Enough said, right? Not quite. The most turned-to data source known to modern man, Wikipedia, has boggled my Island…
