State Department of Environmental Protection officials have declared New Jersey’s ocean water to be in excellent shape as New Jersey kicks off what’s expected to be a banner summer tourism season.
Since 1974, the Cooperative Coastal Monitoring Program has reported on coastal water quality at public bathing beaches along the ocean, back bays and coastal rivers.
