Anglers dropped their lines in waterways throughout New Jersey on Saturday, April 11, as trout season began. This year, the state is providing 19 extra days of fishing, more than 20 additional ponds and simplified regulations.

The spring season will be highlighted by the stocking of more than 180,000 rainbow trout and larger broodstock, as well as 20,000 brown trout provided by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
