Steaks sizzled on the latest models of outdoor grills, and contractors cruised through displays from suppliers at Tuckerton Lumber Co.’s event behind the Surf City store on May 5. The mood was relaxed, and in contrast to the new equipment for sale, an ax-throwing attraction drew men and women’s skills in propelling that time-tested tool.
TLC’s annual customer appreciation/charity event raises funds for a local and a national charity. This time, beneficiaries were the Surf City Volunteer Fire Co.
