The SandPaper won the prestigious General Excellence Award for the fifth consecutive year for editorial content in the weekly division of the 2025 New Jersey Press Association Better Newspaper Contest, the association announced at its annual awards ceremony April 23. The honor is earned by scoring the highest number of individual awards in judged categories, with first-place wins adding the most points toward that aim.
