The summer has come quickly to a close after a vibrant and busy couple of months. The all-volunteer Surf City Fire Co. and Emergency Medical Services experienced a very demanding summer responding to fire, EMS and water rescue calls for our residents and neighboring communities.
To date this year, we have responded to over 700 calls, including more than 350 fire calls and 380 EMS calls. The waterfront portion of these calls included over 60 water rescue calls and more than 50 medical emergency…
