SPOOKY TAIL: Ellen and Bob Raimo were caught by surprise Tuesday in the Barnegat Inlet area when they watched a waterspout form in the bay not far off and quickly returned to safety on shore. This is the kinder of two types of spouts, the so-called fair-weather variety, based on its commonly forming on sunny days. Its source is most often a larger cumulus cloud.
