As he spoke to the crowd gathered on the lawn along Route 9, outside the 9/10 building of Southern Regional High School, Air Force Major Paul Calvello couldn’t help but notice the two visitors sitting directly in front of the stage.
Nisha and Roy Kahn, the parents of 2005 graduate and U.S. Army Corporal Specialist Kareem Kahn, were in attendance for Southern’s Memorial Day ceremony, again, as they have been since their son was killed in Iraq in 2007.
