An ordinance adopted by the Beach Haven Borough Council Monday will allow for fire safety inspections of rental and resale properties to return in-house.
Earlier this year, a new state law mandated that the inspections have to be conducted by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s office. To have inspections done in-house, an employee would have to undergo fire marshal certification training.
