The Regal Manahawkin movie theater offers adaptive, sensory-friendly screenings monthly for moviegoers with autism or other special needs. This month’s feature is “Moana 2,” this Friday, Dec. 6 at 12:50 p.m.

“My Way Matinee” is the name of the program, which started in 2015. Lights in the theater are turned up and the volume is turned down, making the environment feel safer and more inviting. Guests are also free to express themselves by singing, crying, dancing, walking around, talking or shouting during the film.
