In the blooming garden patio of Buckalew’s Restaurant and Tavern and under the covered dining deck of Station 117 in Beach Haven, guests are surrounded by many subtle new upgrades this summer. Local architect Lara Lomer calls it a “progression” since the more upscale Station No. 117 Tavern and Garden was added in 2019, its look inspired by the classic, old-time lifesaving stations along the coast.

The changes are refinements to what the owners were already doing, running a successful, large establishment today.
