The B Cat boat Sugar Magnolia has been around for a long time and has quite a storied history at Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club. In fact, it was the cat boat champion for many years until Peter Maschal turned over the boat to son J.B. Maschal.
“It’s a fast boat. It’s tuned really well,” said J.B., who, interestingly, was not skippering Sugar Magnolia during this year’s Down Bay Regatta, the two-day competition hosted by LEHYC Aug. 9-10.
