Pirate’s Day in Barnegat Township will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Russell Brackman Middle School on Barnegat Boulevard North.
The event gets its name since the historic shipbuilding town was, in Revolutionary War times, the home of “patriot pirates” who raided British vessels to disrupt supply lines to British troops. Up until last year, It was traditionally held on the second Saturday in September.
