After Neptune scored to make it 14-0, silencing the home crowd at Pinelands Regional High School’s football field on June 5, a voice from the sidelines yelled out.
“Don’t give up, girls!”
Within seconds, several other players echoed the same plea, with one addition.
“Keep fighting! We’re going to get it back!”
The Wildcats’ girls flag football team didn’t give up. They fought back and erased the deficit. Unfortunately, in overtime, their season ended.
