The Pinelands Panthers 12-and-under softball team made history this past weekend. It’s heading to the Babe Ruth World Series.
“This is a first time for us,” said head coach Chris Johnson, whose Panthers reached the Mid-Atlantic Region championship on July 13. “Even when we were Bayshore, before we changed the league name four years ago, the farthest any of our teams made it was a state championship. Our team was the first to reach the regional tournament, and this was our second year in a row.
