My new motto for this winter on LBI: If you don’t like the weather, wait a day … it’ll get even worse.
I know we had a nice December, but that was yesterday … and yesterday’s gone. Raise your hand if you’re a Boomer and recall that Chad and Jeremy song.
If you know any squirrels, it’s time to call in the markers for all those times they emptied the birdfeeder. Just climb into a hollow tree with them, use their tails like blankets and sleep off the rest of the upcoming push of frigidity. Zero wind chills will harden the hearts of even coastal die-hards.
The weather into next week is worthy of an instant N.J. seasonal desertion. If only such was easily doable.
