To the Editor:
As Ship Bottom homeowners for 47 years, we were elated to read that Ship Bottom will be installing blue Mobi-Mat beach mats for easier accessibility to our beautiful beaches. We regard this move as a strong step forward in attending to the needs of those who cannot make their way to the beach due to age or disability.
However, we were saddened to have read that only nine beaches will have these mats (those at Fourth, Eighth, Ninth, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 25th streets).
